Re: Playing Zelda II again
Ganon? No, that's Spekkio before he got the job as "Master of War."

I couldn't even figure out how to ACQUIRE the candle for the longest time. There's so many useless NPC's in that game who have absolutely nothing of value to say yet you to have to talk to all of them to figure out where to go.

Re: Playing Zelda II again
If you have some idea of where to go in the first Zelda, it is still pretty amazing.Originally posted by SirTMagus View PostI keep meaning to go back and finally finish the first two Zeldas.
Then I try them and I'm like "Ohhh yeahhhh." And I stop.

Re: Playing Zelda II again
The first Zelda gets friggin ridiculous when you basically have to start burning everything you see with the torch to find stairways and secret passges to dungeons. Add that on to only being able to use the torch once per screen, and having to walk to a different area and back to try it on another bush, and it just gets mind numbing.
Also stupid all the stupid hints people give you on where to find things, etc. DODONGO HATES SMOKE. THE DUNGEON IS IN THE EAST.
