    Hate Speech on TV! (Almost)

    http://www.silencingchristians.com

Our local NBC affiliate wanted to air this on a Tuesday at 7pm, however, the public outcry (thankfully) got them to offer the publisher a Sunday 2pm slot. The AFA didn’t respond, so the NBC affiliate (WOODTV8) said "I ain’t got a dog in this fight", and repealed their offer for either time slot.

Give this a watch. It’s horrible. It's ignorant and a biased piece of propaganda, one that I think everyone should see, because at least we know where our friends stand after watching.

OH, and one last thing: when in this past century have Christians EVER been silenced in America?

I am coming for all of you!

Honestly, what are homosexuals going to do if they are accepted as regular ole' shmoes?

    Get married?

there is no shortage of fools, thats something i seem to learn time and again.

i suppose free speech must include bigots, the ignorant, and the toxic spew from every other malcontent.

Unfettered, malicious slander. Free speech doesn't protect that and it's a shame we don't censure people like that from public airwaves.

It is my sincerest hope that some day people will actually use their heads, realize homosexuality hurts no one, and vote to grant people of all sexual orientations the same rights and privileges as everyone else.

            UGHHHH

Every time they say "Gay agenda is going to destroy families" I kept yelling "HOW!" at my screen.

Reminds me of that one interview in the Daily show when Colbert was still a reporting on things. He interviewed one guy that said "Gays are ruining america" Colbert asked "how" and the guy said "I dont have the numbers but if I researched it I could tell you."

Yes, because it's easier to just say they're destorying america rather than getting any facts.

Short of actual acts of harm or unfair treatment I support people's right to hate as much as people's right to love. Obviously trying to limit the rights of [marginalized group] qualifies as unfair treatment but, in itself, I the belief and attempts to spread the belief that said group is the downfall of man is fine by me. I say live and let live because 99% of what goes on outside your own life isn't worth giving a damn about.

Re: Hate Speech on TV! (Almost)

fun fact: jesus never said anything about homosexuality

A brochure on the door of the Episcopal Chaplain's office at Stanford University reads, "What did Jesus say about homosexuality?" When the brochure is opened the inside is completely blank. Episcopal Chaplain Penelope Duckworth explains, "For we, as Christians, pay particular attention to the words of our savior. Jesus said nothing regarding homosexuality, and in his ministry spoke more about the sins of the spirit than the sins of the body...Our reading of the Bible in its entirety is one of a loving, forgiving and nurturing God who wants us to help create a world that accepts and empowers us all." (Letter to the Editor, by Rev. Penelope Duckworth, Elizabeth Cook and Cynthia Stotts Howard, the Stanford Daily March 1990).
another fun fact, jesus believed in the separation of church and state

“Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s” Matthew 22:21

                      **** christians. HARD.
these aren't christians. these are racist, bigoted people who hide behind "christianity" twist the words to their own benefit, spread the disease of ignorance, and use the church to stage their "holy" wars.

christians believe jesus is the son of god and died for their sins. that's the only important thing in christianity. the god jesus taught about is a loving and nurturing god who cares about the sins of the spirit, not of the flesh because by dying the sins of the flesh were forgiven.

pay no attention to these racists. all they do is spread hate and you're falling prey to it thinking that all christians are ignorant, mindless sheep.

it's no small wonder red-letter christianity isn't more popular. obviously things that make sense never are.

I'm so bored with Chritianity. I want a new polytheistic religion to take hold. They have all the best stories.
