Resident Evil 3 & 4 movies in the works. Hurrah.

    http://www.comingsoon.net/news/resid...s.php?id=10004

Germany's Constantin Film and its genre production company, Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt's Impact Pictures, are preparing for a fourth installment of their successful "Resident Evil" franchise before the third film in the series has even begun shooting.

Constantin head of production Martin Moskowicz said that the third film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, will shift locations to shoot in Australia, with principle photography planned for November or December.

Resident Evil 4 will be set in Tokyo, and Impact/Constantin is looking to shoot the film in Japan. "Afterlife" will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies. The film will play in the Nevada desert with the Aussie outback standing in for the American wasteland. In the final reel, the action will shift to Japan, setting up the fourth edition.

Milla Jovovich is set to reprise her signature role as Alice though no formal deal has been signed yet. Paul W.S. Anderson is finishing the script for the third edition. He directed the first Resident Evil and wrote the sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
I don't really care. Do you?

The post-apocalyptic one I will watch, by mere virtue of its setting, no matter how horrible it is.

not really a sequel. it was pretty much the same as the first one, just exponentially worse. I mean at least the first one was OK but the second one was autrocious. I liked the black guy though. and Sienna Guillory or however you spell her name is yummy.

REALLY? How?! Can you explain why?

But yeah, despite her black lungs Jill Valentine was delicious, the movie should've been about her. **** Alice. Milla and her 12-year old body can suck a ****. And why was she such a smarmy **** to everyone??

However, I found the 2nd movie to be fun as hell. It was ridiculous and over-the-top and just so outrageous I had no choice to have fun with it, dumb as it was, horrible token blackie and all.

But wow. Could that ending have been any worse? It could've been more at home in a Parasite Eve or Galerians movie but it steamrolled any chance of excitement I might've had for the inevitable, sure-to-be-****ty sequels.

Despite the dopey shenanigans of the current film series we GOT, anyone else think it's a damn shame that we COULD'VE received a more faithful, perhaps SCARY and SUSPENSEFUL and LEGIT adaptation? The 2nd movie teased me with that thought when the camera followed Jill, flashlight and Beretta in hand, wandering alone around school and church hallways. I mean, try listening to the Biohazard Orchestra Album if you got it. Imagine a Resident Evil movie with a soundtrack and tone like that. With, like, smart writing and stuff.

                Pity.

I think these movies could end up okay, even with Paul "No script" Anderson. Alice sucks (especially the naked scene. jesus.) and all the other characters were a lot more likeable, so I'm glad this one will focus more on them.

And yeah, this movie needs to have Tofu as an unlockable.

Nemesis was cool. Even if he died like a little *****.

I dunno, seems like they wouldn't have to try at all.

I thought both films where awesome. The first one was a little better becuase of the soundtrack.

Nemesis was a styrofoam guy in elevator shoes.
Are you kidding? Did you see the actor that played that part? Hes a ****in brute. Like 7'6" tall and enough muscle mass to make up 3 people.

I'd watch the 2nd movie if I were forced to, but 1 was terrible...geez.
