    Windows 7 news

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...8NOqAD964GQTG0

Six versions...wow. It better be marketed better than Windows Vista to clear up confusion.

I actually don't know what the diffence will be between 7 and Vista but from what little I heard about it, the taskbar feature sounds cool. Exactly how much better will Windows 7 be over Vista? Will it be able to run on older computers?
Twothorp was in immense pain. The blisters did not care.

Hell, if this computer hadn't of come with XP already on it, theres a very high chance Id still be running Windows 95.

Except it's been in production since XP came out.

Although I have no idea were Vista came from.

Supposedly it's more of an XP upgrade you have to pay for rather than a Vista upgrade.

            At least I hope...

I mainly play games on my computer so I eventually will have to get a 64bit OS...

I've only been messing around with 32-bit OS, so could someone
explain to me what impact does having a 64-bit OS
              have to do with gaming?

On topic, I'm sticking with XP for now.

If Windows 7 is better than XP and Vista (which I'm not holding my breath),
then maaaaaybe I'll consider getting it.

I really don't see why everyone hates Vista so much. It's not like it's a drastically different OS.

I've heard it's faster and less resource hogging than Vista, doesn't even have the 2 gig RAM req. As for new features, not much.

Actually there's only going to be three versions of Windows 7 in developed countries.

You can install Direct X 10. Which already some games, like Age of Conan are requiring.

Is it just me or does it seem that Navane is desperately trying to come up with news we will care about?

he's trying to contribute. nothing wrong with that.

as for Windows 7, I like vista. a whole bunch.

I have yet to run into any of those "famous" compatability problems that can't be fixed my right clicking the software and changing the settings.

i rather like seeing news bits on here.

7 windows programs is confusing, why cant they just make it simple and sell one os at a decent price? im not paying 800 bucks just for an operating system. ill keep using xp till it conks out, just like i used windows me, and window 95.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
Card Three is released! You can find it here!
