Starting last week there was one hell of an ice storm. Most of the state was without power for quite a while. I just happened to be SOOO lucky to be at work when power went out here. Wal-Mart's back up generater only lasts a couple of hours. So I was stuck with the longest, darkest work day ever. I was there when power went out in September, but it wasn't off for near as long. Was so depressing watching all of the cold food go bad. When my day was over I drove through horrible driving conditions to my grandparents. You would think that my experience with a tornado would make me less reckless, wouldn't you? Nobodies cellphones were working, either. Luckily, nothing bad happened of that. The next day everyone I knew was out of power and we had to go to a shelter. There is no experience like it. Everyone smells and everyone is cranky. The worst part of the whole deal was trying to sleep. God! The babies crying, the people chatting, the snorting, the heater that sounds like a cart being pushed from one side of the room to the other and slamming into the wall... making the babies wake up and cry again. No longer in that damned place, but I'm still without power. Guess I'll stop here. Just getting stuff off my chest. For those who will ask how I'm posting, I am using someone elses computer.

Seriously though, it was pretty freaky. An unheard of storm happening and a couple of days later it was pretty damn foggy. I was all like "Jesus Christ! I'm in a goddamn Steven King movie! I am totally ****ed!" My grandma was thinking the same thing. Didn't help that we were keep hearing these noises. The ice storm caused trees to lose their limbs rather often. I don't think there was a tree in the state that wasn't damaged. Some of the poor things were split down the middle. Never felt sorry for trees until now. We never get weather like this. Its like a tsunami in Michigan... it doesn't happen.PSN: KingJamos
Add me... I'll wait.
