BATMAN BEGAN - Watch, celebrate, discuss.

Thanks to the animated series, the influence of a father weaned on decades of Bat-stories and comics in general, and a slew of like-minded Bat-fan friends I've had Bats on the brain since childhood. With the director of Memento on board, the heady influence of Blade Runner noted, and the spirit of the stories Frank Miller and Jeph Loeb intact.... Gaw. I can't wait. I can't string together coherent thoughts anymore!!?

I'm gonna see it in about 35 hours and I think my heart is frozen from all the anticipation... so...hard... TO BREATHE...

    This looks sexy.

I'm glad Nolan is directing it...He certainly won't make it as campy as the horror that was Batman & Robin.

      definly.

the only complaint I've heard is Nolan really isn't such a great action director, but the contents of the film more than make up for it.

I am VERY excited about this, but I have to wait until I get paid and have a day off before I can check it out.

          The previews made me smile.

That first teaser where Bale is narrating while shots of different locales around the world fade in and out...

"They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge...

            "Me."

I broke my own back, I was so excited.

I would SO go Robin if it meant getting a piece of the Bat.

                    Re: Batman is beginning

I saw the Batman movie with Adam West over the weekend. Sheer comedic genius, that film is.

OOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!! Run out and get today's edition of the New York Post if you want a single issue of BATMAN by comic gods JEPH LOEB and JIM LEE~~~~!!!!111

I got my copy but I'm afraid to look through it.

Is it an issue of Hush?

Not sure, it just says BATMAN on it and it's got artwork of him kicking... I'm not gonna open it till I get home tonight.

I don't think it's Hush.... which I still gotta read.

figures they'd reteam the most popular Batman creative team in recent history to promote the movie.

Jim Lee's talented an all, but I personaly don't think he's all that special. He's too shiny and flashy and photoshoppy for my tastes. I prefer the subduded earthtones of The Long Halloween.
