Pandemic worked out a deal with Warner/DC and EA to make a Batman game. So Pandemic spent six months on pre-production of a Batman game. Then EA came in and said it had to be a Dark Knight game, so most of that six months' work was thrown out.

god damn you, ea, you are a cancer in the market. pandemic shares some of the blame for beginning work on an ambitious project they had no experience on but great job telling them 1/4 of the way through "yeah, no, make a movie release you have 4 months before the contract expires."

and this game looks... alright. voice talent is great but must every unreal engine game look the damn same?

i'm also digging the story because once it again it proves batman is crazier than the psychos he locks up. this game is basically him taking down 1,000s of criminals he put away by himself and i guarantee you at the end the joker and every other criminal will be put in handcuffs and behind bars. my god i love batman and his method of thinking!

well, miller's batman is intentionally crazier than the other batmans (he kicked a man in the face for eating icecream and forced dick grayson [age 12] to eat rats like he did when growing up).

but if dc really wants to get "radical" they should put a surprise twist in the end where batman's like "hey joker, the great trap you sprung? yeah, it was me all along. i brought you here. i made sure the defenses where lax. i gave you the leeway to escape and spring the criminals i've taken down again, and again, and again, and again. i'm always one step ahead of you, always lurking in the shadows, always prepared to stack the deck in your favor just to take you out of the game. you're the light pushing against the darkness and as the light grows so too does the darkness around it. I AM THE NIGHT!" *fist to face*
