God this game looks funny.

You basically are playing a vidoe game super star who has been out of the business for years but comes back in a new game. There all kinds of references everywhere to other games, and making fun of general video game nonsense.

theres even a level where 2D Wolfenstien like enemies and levels show up, while you still play a "next gen" character.

Id play it!

And yes, the gameplay doesn't look all that exciting but who cares when you have an original entertaining theme, wacky bosses, and neat powerups? (See: No More Heroes)

I like how the original trailer shown last year made it seem like a parody of Duke Nukem which in turn was a parody of early first person shooters. Nobody expected Duke3D to perform as spectacularly as it did so I have my fingers crossed. The company that's developing this doesn't have much experience (the only game I know of from them was Puzzle Quest) but they seem to be putting a lot of effort into it so all I can do is hope!

EDIT: I'm surprised no one has compared the RPG battle to the one from Kirby Superstar.

The RPG battle was the highlight of the damn game to me. That and trying to get the perfect punch in Megaton Punch.

....And it's one all of the systems I don't got (and really can't afford on my current budgit)....
