    What's with all the jobs?

In an ironic twist, Enterbrain gave RPGM3 100 characters (essential to any RPG) and 100 classes (Only the number equal to playable characters/character battles is needed). Who in their right mind gives every single character in their game a character class? that'd take up about 60% of the game alone! That's not even counting weapons, armor, accessories, areas, and event codes to intitiate battles. What was enterbrain thinking?!

Look, not to sound like broken MagusMartovich here, or anything, but Enterbrain wasn't thinking. Let's look at their track record, shall we:

The first RPGMaker was a good game. You could make customized characters/monsters/title screens/etc. and for the most part was quite open about what you could/could not get your game to do with RM1's programing.

RM2 was an incredible game. You could make customized anything and everything. You could even make minigames that were first person shooters! For all of this greatness the only downside was comparably poor graphics.

RM3 lets you choose between (at most) 4 color palets. You can make your own world map and town layouts. ...that's about it.

Now, some people will say, "Well RM3 isn't really part of the seris," and you'd say that's **** because if it wasn't a sequel it wouldn't be called RPGMaker 3 it would be called something different. Like something without a 3 involved.

In all honestly, RM3 isn't that graet of a game. Its simple and easy, but its limiting too. If you're looking for a more versatile game, try either of the other RMs or even one of the PC versions.

I guarentee it'll get rid of the headache you have thinking about "Why did Enterbrain...?"

If I were Enterbrain, I'd be thinking "WHAT A BUNCH OF SPOILED BRATS WHO CAN'T BE PLEASED AND REQUIRE IMPOSSIBILITIES."

There's no such thing as a perfect RPG maker, and the best one to use depends on which things you're willing to live without, in favor of which other things.

While there are some pretty silly things in 3, they haven't stopped people from making really great games with it.

Oh, and about the jobs...? You don't have to use all 100 classes. Only people that you intent to fight with/against need them. If they only included the ability to make 80 classes people would be screaming "OMG...only 80 classes!!"

..."100 characters, but only 80 classes! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??"

I can't believe that you're complaining that they allow you to make every character playable (or fightable) if you desire to. That's a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. (I'll grant that the 100-character limit is annoying, but that's been discussed in dozens of topics already. Everyone knows it's annoying.)

In addition, given how many threads you've already made on this board, it seems a little ingracious to make ANOTHER one just to complain.

BUT you can make an event to have a ton of folk just a-standing around and then still have overpopulous towns and megalopolises while at the same time have all 100 different classes to possibly fight against...
