    LEGEND OF THE FAT DRAGON

Basically for the course Im taking part of the thigns we have to learn to do is make nice center pieces for banquets, to make people OOOHHHHH and AAAAHHHHH over. The teacher is a chef and kinda upturns his nose at some things, and was all "It must be something that makes the guests feel welcomed! Something very nice, related to food! Such as fruit carvings, or ice sculptures!" Instead of those things he said we are doing carvings out of fat. Its basically solid vegetable fat. Alot like wax, but much softer at room temperature, and you can heat it up and deep fry things in it!

He seemed very adamant on things not being I guess you could say "uncivilized". Like he said a guy in the last class made a huge fist, rocking the devil horns and he got a really low mark on it. I think that would have been awesome!

I ended up choosing a dragon. Why? Dragons are awesome thats why, and if he *****es, "WHAT DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH CLASSY BANQUETS!?", I can just say "I was thinkin' like a medieval feast! The knights slayed the dragon to save the town, and they have a feast in their honor!" or something like that.

Also, Ive had a month to work on it, and made it this morning in about 3.5hours, and its due today. AHAHAHA. That explains the feet and some parts looking kinda wonky. PROCRASTINATION! HELL YEAH!

I tried to make the big spikes around the mountain top look like a big evil hand rising out of the ground. :3

After all, who wants to eat at a crappy hoity toity rich jerk banquet with tiny little crappy hors d'oeuvres, when you can eat at a kickass medeivil banquet with knights, dragons, and fair maidens!

The back legs look kinda weird...

But it also looks like it's humping that "rock," so it's okay.

I wanted to do some wings, but this fat gets so soft after you work it in your hands, and some wings wouldnt even be bale to support themselves and they would just fall off.

Yeah the legs do look goofy, but oh well. Thats what I get for leaving it till the last minute. As long as it passes, woohoo!

So that'd be like trying to make a dragon out of a material like butter?

                      Pretty much.

Also the worst thins ever is when out at banquets with fat sculptures, people think its butter, or some other kind of spread, and dig big chunks out of it, and slop it on their plates and slather it over their bread. Friggin morons!

People do all sorts of idiotic things with art. I've seen people that just have to touch paintings and other works that are NOT meant to be touched. Because you can't enjoy a piece of art unless you destroy it!

At least in this case they get nasty payback if they eat the sculpture.

                          And BARBARIANS!

This was very well done. Two well-placed drops of red food coloring for eyes would have been spectacular.
