Just spent the majority of the day making a LOST theme for my PSP

It took a LOT longer than it should have. I spent a good deal of time browsing the internet for the perfect images for the icons, and then ended up having to cut and resize almost all of them in GIMP. The majority of them needed to be in 8 bit color, but for some strange reason, I don't believe GIMP has a way to reduce the color from 24 bit (RGB, which most of the original images were at) to 8 bit. I poked around online, and decided to cut the color from 256 down to 192, which somehow ended up working.

It turned out pretty well. I tried (with the exception of each icon under the system setings on the far left of the XMB, where I used pictures of the characters-no Jack or Kate, though) to correlate the picture I was using to the function/icon inasmuch as I could. For example, the main XMB category for photo now has the Desmond/Penelope pic for its icon.

    Just thought I'd share.

I misread the title at first and was about to console you on your LOSS.
      ...and that's why.

It is a waste of anybody's time. Creating a custom PSP theme is much more intrinsically rewarding than collecting fruit in some videogame whose gameplay revolves around doing chores.

I have a custom theme as well. It's swell. (Custom Firmware FTW).

Gloomy just loves to do long boring chore activites.

          It's called personal taste.

Toaster, I just have the standard firmware, but there's a link on the PSP Fanboy site to an official program used to create your own themes.

Be careful: Kate's tears might short out your PSP.
              Lil' Bean is here!

It's good thing, then, that there's nary an icon using either Jack or Kate's pic, and I only had one of Sawyer because I found a pic of him online with one of those really nerdy glasses he was wearing for a while, and he looks like a complete doofus.

Hey, leave Sawyer out of it. You can talk crap about Jack and Kate all you want, but Sawyer is a P.I.M.P

Killing doesn't make you cool and his name is Sawyer.

Through the first two seasons, I always thought James Ford was a jackass. But midway through season 3, my respect level for him went up, culminating in the episode with him and Locke in the Black Rock (which is what I'm guessing your Youtube link is to).

And Mora is right...killing does not make him cool, and his name is spelled Sawyer, as in Tom. I personally think Locke and Sayid are bigger badasses than James Ford could ever hope to be.

I'm gonna redo it a bit, because the .txt file said the glowing auras around the icons. Were not required, but it didn't work without them, so I used the defaults that came in the zip folder, and now each one flashes white, black, and gray and it looks like garbage. Once I fix it, I'd be willing to send the file to anyone who wants it, or maybe just make a fileden or megaupload account or something and give you the link, because I can't add it as an attachment here.

Sayid could crush us all between his muscular cleavage.
