Getting a new guitar.

Im finally thinking about getting an electric guitar and retiring my old Ariana acoustic.

Im thinking about getting this Fender or this B.C. Rich. Help me choose. I don't know about an amp yet. I was thinking Krank or Line 6, if you know any better brands i'd be more than happy to check them out.

There's no need to 'retire' the acoustic. You're not moving up, you're just getting a new instrument.

the vintage modified line from squier is supposed to be good and the classic vibe telecaster they have is supposed to be really awesome and being in that price range if you are looking for a fender kind of guitar. for 250-300 you can probably find a used MIM fender too.

at that range you can also look at the epiphones, i think i got my lp standard plus top for like around 300 and its nice.

i just got one of the ibanez artcore guitars a couple weeks ago and i think its super cool.

As far as amps go, I bought a Line 6 Spider III and I'm really happy with it. You should check it out.

please please please don't get a squier. those things were made to go out of tune. and don't get that b.c. rich either.

if you REALLY want to play electric guitar, then do yourself a favor, check out some local pawn shops and get a used stratocaster or telecaster. Epiphone guitars are ok, but they're going to be more expensive.

Yeah, stay away from BC Rich. Squier too, but that's a pretty budget brand anyway. What style of music are you going into?

You should probably buy a Stratocaster or a Les Paul. You can find some relativity cheap ones and you can play anything on them.
