I live in Michigan...so:

Another year at a mediocre job. Another year of having snow and ice fall every time I have to travel. I mostly endure it so Blackberry can finish her M.A. She has a good deal going with her classes getting paid for plus getting some teaching experience and I don't want to ruin it.

I am hoping to do more with my new year. I want to move somewhere warm, and I want to get a job doing something I can tolerate, or perhaps even enjoy. I want to get down to a more manageable weight and I want to drink less.

And I want to hang out here more. Not sure why, but I do.

Aside from a few rough spots at the beginning of the summer this has been a most excellent year for me.

I know it's early for my resolution but I wanna get something ambitious done this year that I've never done before. I may have the opportunity to restore a 'vette this summer, so maybe that'll fit the bill.

After seeing a girl for about 7 months I broke up with her.
Lost my job that I had been at for 4 years.
Ignored some medical issues.
Gaming was a general disappointment overall.

But on the bright side, I started working on my degree again and I'm almost finished. Probably read more books this year than in all my life. Discovered lots of new music. Helped out at the local high school, part of my degree. Learned how to do new things in Illustrator/Photoshop. Practiced and started writing new songs on my guitar.

Good enough that I don't want to murder everyone in sight, but bad enough that I'd never want to repeat it. Ever.

This was the best year and the worst year. I made lots of friends, and I made no financial headway.

And hey, there were some pretty great flicks, right?

Yeah, it definitely was a good year for movies. Hell, if even just The Dark Knight was released it would have been awesome, but with Iron Man and Wall-E and a few other gems mixed in it made it one of the best in a while.

I had a great year. I didn't get sick at all this year, and I had a great first semester of college. I hope next year goes this good.

Was hoping for a good year, but things didn't go the way I would have liked it to be.

New Years Resolution for '09? Not get my hopes up for anything. It'll be easier on me that way.

Got robbed at gunpoint doing a delivery job.
Started going on a diet and losing weight.
Received my B.A. degree from college.
Completed my 4th album, BNA.
Spent nearly 3 months finding work.
Currently working in produce.


It was another year, to me.

Dude. Michigan sucks. The snow comes early but, the snowmobile trails aren't open yet. When they open, it all melts ... I worked more this year. Got busted by the cops for playing with coke & mentos in the Salvation Army parking lot. I've been doing better in school though, All A's and B's except for german's C...

lame year. ive almost spent another year at my old low paying job (now with few hours!), and ive done nothing with my certificate nor feel inclined to do anything. ive not gotten a license, ive failed to procure enough to pay my loan off, and i still have no inclination to move forward with my life (other then im unhappy with things).

on the plus side it was a great year for creativity. i managed to release a demo of my game and have continued to make constant progress on my game. ive read a significant amount of books, my relationship is doing better this year, ive discovered some new hobbies, and kicked my online gaming habit.

i dont feel good about 2009, i think its going to be a financial nightmare all the way through and worse if i cant get myself off the ground and into a decent job. at least i planned ahead and have a small cushion for emergencies - though i can thank my family for being so generous in supporting me.

as for changes. i think id like to visit my grandparents more often, get a better job, finish crystal shores, clear my student loan, and move forward in my relationship.
