    A Vampyre Story (PC)

Made by the same guys who made Monkey Island, Full Throttle, and all the good lucasarts point and click games.

    Intro

    Official site

Although I'm currently stuck at one spot, the game is fun.

There's several references to older Lucasarts games like a recipe book that details how to cook purple squid tentacle.

I miss the point n click genre. The Agatha Christie games are decent at best but I wouldn't mind a new Syberia or The Longest Journey (Dreamfall was pretty good but the story wasn't as epic as the first game minus the stupid ending).

This game looks pretty cool, but I have a hard time looking past the horrendous voice acting of the main character. It makes me squirm in a bad way.

Point and click adventures actually do exist, but they are mainly a European thing. I dunno why they like adventures more then we do. ^_^

I hate point and clicks from a gameplay perspective. The only ones I've been about to tolerate are Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle.

Well, if it helps, froderick (the bat) hangs out with you as you roam around the castle and he does a lot of talking too.

I was just starting Maniac Mansion before reading this. Looks alright.
