I love how they ignored the utterly amazing concept art and made the
in-game model of the protagonist look like generic 3D Studio Max crap.
Most likely the art style didnt appeal to enough people, so they went with something that would draw a larger crowd of people to buy the game.
I think the concept art is awesome, even though i'm not particularly fond of the style, but they probably had to change it to attempt to increase interest and sales when it releases.
I wrote them an e-mail. Told them that the game would be much more appealing if they adhered to the concept work and didn't have such generic looking 3D models.
I doubt they'll listen, but yeah. Felt it needed to be said.
What's the point of having concept art if you're going to head in a direction completely opposite?
Thats why I think what i said has some merit. They arent going to show fantastic concept art, and then have generic character models unless there is a reason.
