Free Radical Design Shuts Down

The ex Rare team responsible for the TimeSplitters series, as well as Second Sight and Haze has apparently closed its doors. link

I didn’t care much for what little I played of Haze but TimeSplitters is among my favorite game series of all time. The humor, challenges, map maker, numerous characters and weapons will be missed.

I stopped caring about the series after Timesplitters 2. Second Sight was criminally underrated but overshadowed by the more action packed Psi Ops (which is now Freeware). Haze was just a boring and generic shooter in every meaning of the word.

I can't say I'll miss them but I hate it when studios close down because it's one less competitor in a growingly stale market!

*cue strawman argument about how Free Radical is awesome and I'm wrong for not liking them.*

They made Haze, good riddance. That game showed that anything good about them is long dead anyways.
