It's the device I used to record my various videos at Youtube. Plugs my game consoles through my computer so I can play/record them on my PC. The thing is, it was made for XP, I now have Vista ('cause I had to get a new computer), and Adaptec (the guys who made the GameBridge) doesn't seem to have a driver update for Vista users. There's a way to make it work on Vista, I've done it once before, but it came unplugged and has to be reinstalled, yet it's an absolute pain to get installed properly. I need an alternative. Any of you have any suggestions?

Re: Gamebridge alternative?
So, I guess I'm on my own for this one, huh? Funny, I would've figured at least one of you sometimes records themselves game-making or playing video games. Actually, maybe that's the problem. None of you gamers do this. Maybe this should be redirected into the RPGM General.Last edited by ErikaFuzzbottom; 12-20-2008, 07:26 PM."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Gamebridge alternative?
Is there any noticeable lag? If I'm making another Let's Play, that half-second difference could really skrew me up on games like Blast Corps."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Gamebridge alternative?
Yeah, I'm really slow at getting this done. I have a question, though.

Re: Gamebridge alternative?
I am not sure about those types of TV tuners.
I think it jsut means your PC has to have a slot able to plug it in or somthing, don't quote me on that.
I was talking about more like these.

They jsut plug in your USB slot install some software and you're ready to go.

Re: Gamebridge alternative?
Ah, that would certainly make things a lot easier, and cheaper. Of course the whole USB deal is why I'm worried about lag. Granted, the Gamebridge managed pretty well, so maybe others do. Have you used this one in particular?"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Gamebridge alternative?
I use the one linked. The only problem is that it only displays in 640x480 It's fine for recording video and slapping it on youtube though.Originally posted by Draygone View PostAh, that would certainly make things a lot easier, and cheaper. This was just a test but

using that.
Granted it's not showing gameplay but just trust me when I say there isn't lag.
It kinda sucks if you want to actually play on it with a large monitor, as everything is really blurry.Last edited by Red Dragon; 02-01-2009, 01:06 PM.

Re: Gamebridge alternative?
Well, I managed to order one from Amazon, since I had a gift card. Hopefully it works with Vista. Strangely, the product info says it works with Vista while reviews say it doesn't. As long as it works for Vista (perhaps a driver update) and there's no noticeable delay (wanna be able to play non-RPGs on this), I'm good."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change.
