Re: God of War 3 Debut Trailer
Not that I don't like God Of War. But the series really is being dragged out to far in my opinion. They should of left it at two. I mean there is no flaw with the end at two.
Then even if they made a new game with the same combat system that would be cool, but this just seems like it's getting dragged out until they can't make money off it anymore.

Same here. God of War 1 ending perfectly IMO and the "secret ending" opened up to a possible sequel which should have ended at that.Originally posted by Muse View PostNot that I don't like God Of War. How about focusing on a new god, guys? I wouldn't mind playing as Pan, fighting demon suitors, running around seducing women, and leaving a statue of an erect penis by their bedside!

I've never played GoW:Chains, but I have played 1 and 2.Originally posted by Muse View Posteven if they made a new game with the same combat system that would be cool, but this just seems like it's getting dragged out until they can't make money off it anymore.
I say "Why not?". The combat system rocks, and as long as they can keep the series/story fresh and interesting, I say go for it.

Re: God of War 3 Debut Trailer
Actually, I can picture a game like this except just like God of War it'll have to take full liberties with mythology. You play as Phiedippides (simply called Phie), a haughty herald/courier, who has deliver word to Athens that the Persians sacked Marathon. As the only witness, you have to run the 240 miles across treacherous terrain to Athens while being intercepted by Persian warriors. In the end, you find out that Hermes, for whatever stupid reason I don't feel like thinking of right now, is seeking the destruction of Athens because... you know, everyone hates Athens (those damn child molestors).Originally posted by Caciss View PostI agree with Marcus about using a different God.
I wanna play as Hermes, with ultra-fast paced combat and ****. The plot could be delivering some letter to Kratos if you wanna tie it in with the other games.
Somebody hire me I write video game gold.

Re: God of War 3 Debut Trailer
But Prince of Persia just proved that's not the case. All you have to do is ruin your character with emo rock angst crap and fans will welcome a reboot.Originally posted by highwind View PostWhile I agree it would be neat to play as a different God - from a marketing standpoint - they need to go with what has worked in the past. And boy I hope this game sells well.
I'll probably get it.
So are they pulling a Metroid again like they did with GoW2?I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Well, I think everyone agrees that taking a well-liked character or franchise and drastically altering the design will be met with criticism.Originally posted by €huck View PostBut Prince of Persia just proved that's not the case. I'm currently playing Warrior Within because it's on my backlog and if it weren't for the good things I heard about Two Thrones I'd snap this disc.Originally posted by €huck View PostBut Prince of Persia just proved that's not the case.
