I don't remember if I asked this already or not, but can I store a game file on a regular flash drive, or can I only use a max drive?

...but if you can store it there, and then transfer it back at a later time, it does free up the space on the memory card.
I was trying to see if I could rig a way to store backup copies of save files on my PC, but I broke down (ie: got lazy) and bought an additional memory card, instead.A God from the Machine - Menander

Re: Yay! Another Stupid Question!
The important thing is to have the Max Drive software to transfer between Mem Cards and Flash Drives. Besides that, you can use the Flash Drive (any flash drive, in fact) for any other functionality you need it for.

I've used them a lot! For example, for my USB keyboard, my Max Drive, and my Karaoke Revolution mics. Not having them would be the real fail!Originally posted by MRevelle83 View PostIt's kind of funny how the PS2 has USB ports but you barely use them. Systems with useless features is a fail.

Re: Yay! Another Stupid Question!
But it has the USB port so that hardware could be added on at a later date and time, and possibly, that hardware not made specifically for the PS2 could be utilised for a more enjoyable gaming experience. I have a keyboard, mouse, and have rigged other things to work alongside my PS2 via the USB port as well. I don't believe that Sony "wanted" you to be able to play racing games with other systems' "wheel" but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.
This seems to have gotten into a very similar topic as most other RM3 Workshop threads of, "Well, they didn't come right out and say that this could be done, but look what I did!" Its all about manipulating what IS possible through the existing programing and causing desirable effects.
As for posting games, however, I am 99.9% sure that you NEED a max drive...A God from the Machine - Menander
