    guides...

This is probably a question that's been asked a lot but here goes.
Are there any complete or near complete guides, other than the Prima one, for RPG Maker 2?

Like most beginners at RPGM2...I thought I'd be able to jump in and at least do some basics...but alas...my hopes were too high.

I'm not entirely interested in making a full fledged game...I don't have that kind of time...but I'm into design and want to be able to put a town on a map, make the town have an interior that can be acessed from the map, and buildings within the town that have interiors as well...and multiple floors.

Also...to create dialogue. If any of you, which I'm sure some of you have, seen the "Tabloid" videos made with RPGM2, I want to be able to create things like that. Like design interactive sets sort of...as in movie sets. :-p

    Re: guides...

As far as I know the only official guide for RPGM2 is the Prima one. I think some people here were actually working on a strategy guide here (one accessible from the forums) but I'm not sure how far along that is.

      Re: guides...

Zomg an RPGM2 user! You have any idea how rare you guys are around here?

Well, congratz on picking up this one. It's the one with the steepest learning curve, but it's pretty well worth it. Especially if all you want to do is create a nice town. Should be pretty fun getting that made.

Anyway, my first tip to you, just fiddle around with all the options and see how they work. Some of the options aren't very obvious, unfortunately, but it's interesting when you're able to see some of the results.

Also look for Dungeon Wardens Advanced RPGM2 tutorial for more information. I think it's on GameFAQS.

TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.
