I can’t believe I found it! This is so awesome! My two brothers and I went into a place called The Exchange. Just like Gamestop, you can trade in games and movies, but you can also trade in music, too. Man, this place has TONS of music, movies, and games. The cool thing about this place is you can find a lot of old stuff that is hard to find, especially with their games and game systems. You want a boxed NES? Got it. How about some Sega CD games? Got that too. Do you want some NES games to go along with that boxed NES you were looking for? What about a Neo Geo? Yep, they got those too. They even sell new games and game systems. Take that Gamestop!
Anyway, as I was browsing the Playstation games, I was looking to see if they had Ogre Battle, but then something caught my eye. Lo and behold, it was RPG Maker in all its used glory! I was shocked that they had this game. I never would have thought I would have managed to find it. But now I’m the proud owner of all the playstation RPG Makers!
I messed around with RPG Maker for about two hours today and it honestly looks pretty cool. The Anime Maker seems really cool, too. Unfortunately, my drawing skills are like crap, so I probably won’t use it that much if I ever make a game on it. Another thing is that I am once again without an instruction manual. This makes the second time it happened to me! First with RPG Maker 2, and now with RPG Maker. Of all the used games I get not to have an instruction manual, it had to have been RPG Maker 1 and 2! Well, at least I got the original game case this time.
Anyhow, the sample game’s story really surprised me. I expected to encounter some crappy unoriginal story, but I was delightfully surprised with it. I didn’t get very far in it, though; a party of four monsters wiped me out when I was trying to escape while looking for a slime. I might try to play it again and hopefully get farther in it.
The first games I want to download for RPG Maker are Legend, and the Crystal Shores demo. That game better get a PSV file so I can play it! Make it happen!
One question, isn’t there supposed to be two discs with RPG Maker? One with RPG Maker, and one with Anime Maker? The used copy I bought had RPG Maker and Anime Maker on one disc. I donno, I could have swore that I read somewhere on here that it came with two discs.
