    PSN Sharing: An Epic Tale

So, a week ago I was on Home minding my own business, than I got involved with a group of people and one of them named "the_new_darkness" sent me a friend invite. Not wanting to be rude, I accepted it. Until this point I never talked to this guy.

    Until now.

Today at around 4am I received a message from him while I was mastering Deejay on Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. He asked if I could share SFII with him. I was reluctant at first, but I agreed to share the game with him. Soon I started getting paranoid, he seemed like he wanted it but what if he tried to con me? With each message he sent my suspicion grew larger. So, I took some precautions to ensure my security. He begged for the game and kept asking me for my log in info as he had already sent his to me. To make sure he wasn't pulling my leg, I asked him to sign-out so I could see if his info was legit. After a few messages I got his approval.

I entered the info but it turns out he was still signed in! Now I had no idea if he was faking or not. Finally, I sent him MY info...except...I gave him the wrong password. I have no idea what that would accomplish though. A few bad consequences kept running inside my head; what if he deleted or slandered people on my friends list? What if he changed the password? This would be exceptionally bad because I didn't bother with the birthday info when I made my PSN account, I used random numbers and couldn't remember what the birth date was. I sat there, thinking as he kept tossing messages about how he wouldn't trick me and such.

I gave him alternatives but he said he couldn't afford it, his father pays 3k a day for the guy's baby brother. A few minutes later he invited me to the chat, even though I didn't have an EYE or headset. Suddenly, the guys web cam appeared at full screen. There he was...sticking his cell phone in front of his web cam showing off baby pictures and sheets of paper with incomprehensible writing! I left an used an excuse to try and get him off my back, but no, he kept bothering me! So I told him I had to sleep...I shut off my PS3...went away...and went on the computer to post a long-ass thread about the experience.

Now...fellow Pavigonians, what should I do? Should I share this with the guy at the risk of ruining my PSN account? Or should I tell him TOO BAD and ignore it?

      don't share.

if he can afford a PS3 and a playstation eye, he can afford a 15 dollar game.

only share with people you've known for a long time, and you know you can trust.

and even then, if you share, wipe your billing info from account management first. No matter who the person is.

For the sake of saving myself or someone else $15 bucks, I wouldn't compromise my PSN account and my Credit Card #. No offense, but I wouldn't share my password with anyone. Not the Pav, Not my cousins from across the country, and definitely not strangers I just met.

You should send him the game and all indentifying info in case he needs it. Especially your social security number.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

He took ME off his friends list just now.

Now to let this thread sink into the cold dark abyss....

What you should do is post all of your information on the Pav, that way we can keep it safe and make sure he doesn't get it.

Valk should front page it too.
