Wakfu

[The_Real_Crunk]

Its a french cartoon done in an "anime" kinda style based on a french MMO game of the same name, which is a sequal to the french MMO game called Dofus. Dont expect a super serious hardcore show here. Its a fun light hearted typical fantasy adventure, with some comedy and lots of action.

The thing that really set this show apart is the animation. Its reaaly weird. They do it in flash, but they do it so damn good, its hard to tell if its 3d at some parts, or traditionally animated.

Episodes 4 and 6 got released early online to help promote it, and now episodes 1, 2, and 3 are out. A guys been subtitling them into english as they they go. People have been taking his version and using it for subtitling into other languages too.

So far hes just been uploading them to Megaupload. Give it a watch! Some people seem to be having trouble with the subtitles, so you should probably play it in VLC, or MediaPlayerClassic and download a few codec packs. If you watch lots of subtitled stuff already you've probably got all the stuff to play it fine anyway.



As much as I hate all the french snobs around here, its actually nice to hear everybody speaking in french for once!

Oh man, the Mac Hall guys mentioned that a while ago- it actually looks pretty cool. The little kid is a friggin' living portal gun.

This is one of the few cartoons I actually want dubbed in English because the little brown girl and elf chick are hot.

Uh, I mean it's funny and interesting!

FOX is pretty canceling their entire saturday morning run by 2009 so all that's left to pick up this show is Jetix (which aired the great Oban Star Racers) and Cartoon Network (which is aiming for the older crowd).

Last time Fox had anything good on Saturdays was when they introduced the revamped TMNT. Now, even that is going downhill.

Also, episode three's link won't work for me.

I watched the first episode, despite it not having any subtitles so I didn't have a clue what was going on. But the animation alone kept me wholly riveted. It is brilliant what they've accomplished with Flash. It's so smoooooth.

I think this definitely deserves a closer look.

What program are you playing it with? You might just have to click a tab, somewhere on it to turn subtitles on.

Red Boo Dragon: Play it in Windows media or VLC player. If you use VLC, choose the tools tab and activate the subs in there. Good luck!
