In my own defence I have realised how stupid I have been in the past few months (ok I am always stupid, olol). I totally forgot about Japanese games. The situation and reasoning about gettting the PS3 isn't somthing I want to talk about though.

Toaster has a valid point, RD. You make a topic about buying a PS3, when all we've ever heard from you is the virtues of the Wii and PC gaming, to the exclusion of either of the other consoles, and now you don't want to share what made you change your mind?


I vote that until RD explains why the sudden change of heart, nobody give him PS3 game suggestions.

I bought Lair (you know, RD, the game with DRAGONS!!!!!!) today from work for $20 plus my discount. Now that with the patch, it's not Sixaxis only, it actually MIGHT be semi-fun.

Also I have been playing a little Soul Calibur 4 demo. Is the full version any good? I kinda like the demo.

SC4 is a good game. tis fun. but it is SHORT AS HELL. there's no big campaign mode in it, which is a first for the Soul Calibur series. single player is limited to arcade and story. story mode is 5 stages. each stage has multiple enemies that you fight once, one after another. its easy. painfully so. the story in story mode is limited to the 2 or 3 scrolling paragraphs at the beginning and a few sentences at the end. WOOOO.

Online is a lag festival if more than two people are in a game together. and god forbid you dare use voice chat.

it's a good game. just not $60 good. they didnt put a whole lot of effort into the thing. it can't stand against any of the other games in the series when it comes to content.

I actually bought "300" on blu-ray. It looks better even on a SDTV.
