    Enemy models to Hero models?

Hey. I'm new here. I've just bought RPG maker 2 and I'll soon be getting it.
My question is...is there any way that enemy models can be used as hero models? In short...can the main character use an enemy model?

Another question or two have been floating around in my head as well.

    1. What are the building limits in RPG maker 2...as far as objects placed, towns, etc. I belive RPG maker 3, which I am getting in the near future, has a very large memory capacity.

Can walls, bookshelves, etc be set to move through triggers, switches, etc...such as to give the effect of secret doors or to trap a player?

      Welcome to the Pavilion!

As for your question, no it is not possible to have enemy models to appear in the actual world, only in battle.

Depending on your skill you can cram quite a bit into RPGM2. If I were you I would download New Game+ which shows you how much you can put into RPGM2. If you want a more technical answer, I believe the block limit is 512 blocks per map. It should say in the manuel.

Absolutely! You do this through scripts and events. How is something you'll probably have to learn for yourself.

Enjoy your stay at the Pav and happy game making.

TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.

        Thanks...very helpful information.

One thing I was wondering though..is there anyway to transfer games via a normal USB drive...I have a few and I've used it in the past to transfer game saves to my Game Shark program...

Sorry...I didn't know. It's been a long time since I used a forum of any sort. Won't happen again. :-)

A lot of creators have run up against RM3's memory ("Data Usage") constraints. On the other hand, I only know of one person (WilliamKirk) who has run out of space using RM2. I spent some time playing around with 2 last month, and said to myself "I could conceive of a way to run out of space," but generally you will be able to get a LOT more content with 2 than 3. In the end, it depends on exactly what you want to do.

I think you do need the Max Drive software or a similar piece of software. The USB Drive ITSELF, doesn't need to be a licensed one, any one will do. I'm not 100% sure about this.

Finally, and I don't consider this a big deal at all, but it's generally looked down upon to post twice in a row, instead, use the EDIT function to add to your post if you think of something you want to add a little while later and no one has responded yet.
