Did you try adding it to your blocked numbers list?

We have that option for only Vonage, not the cells.

It's not even a REAL telemarketer... it's a damn recording saying that if we key in answers to 10 questions, we'll win tickets to a sunny vacation spot.

Both times I have listened to the message, I was on my cell and didn't want to waste air time. Once, it was 7:30 in the goddam morning on my day off, I was livid.

What gets me is that I can;t even call the number back and say to **** off. The weird thing is that a month ago, a national "Do Not Call" registry was formed in Canada. I registered all of our numbers and karr's grandparents' home number, and it said it would take one month before telemarketers had to remove us from their list.

Now, a month later... these calls start

That really sucks. How about this:

If that number calls the cell, there should be a button on the phone you can press in order to mute the ringing. I really don't know what else I can advise you.

Learn morse code and proceed to communicate with others that way.

But don't let the telemarketers get your new number.

          ".... . .-.. .-.. --- .-.-.- / - .... .. ... / .. ... / .- / .-. . -.-. --- .-. -.. . -.. / -.-. .- .-.. .-.. -.-.-- / .. ..-. / -.-- --- ..- / .- -. ... .-- . .-. / - .... . ... . / .---- ----- / --.- ..- . ... - .. --- -. ... --..-- / -.-- --- ..- .----. .-.. .-.. / - --- - .- .-.. .-.. -.-- / .-- .. -. / .- / ..-. .-. . . / - .-. .. .--. / - --- / <.. -. ... . .-. - / ... ..- -. -. -.-- / ...- .- -.-. .- - .. --- -. / ... .--. --- - / .... . .-. . >-.-.--"

          Don't copy that floppy!

Add all your numbers to this registry if you haven't already:
            https://donotcall.gov/
It may take a while but it works, or at least it does for me.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the information you provided traces the number to 800-441-6858. Although I'm not 100% certain, try calling them to have them remove you from their list.

Edit: Sorry, I missed the part where you already said you added yourself to the registry.

Report the number to the Do Not Call Registry people, the company responsible will be fined severely for it.

Tell the police that someone has kidnapped your baby and is holding them for ransom demanding that you answer ten questions to receive your baby back. Police trace the call, track down the telemarketers, they protest ignorance of baby theft, police shoot them for resisting arrest.

At least that's how it would work in America. Maybe you guys would just mounty them to death or something.
