    About Downloading to the PS3...

    Hello everybody!

I recently purchased RPGM3 from Ebay and I need some ideas on how to make a better game and yes I have read the "How to spice up your game" thread, but I need a more hands on expeirience. So I downloaded Ursus Quest: Shadow of the Towers onto my PS3... but I can't play PS2 games on the new 80GB model, which my PS3 just happens to be. So my question is: Can I use a Memory Card Adaptor to take the downloaded file off of the PS3 hard drive, and onto a PS2 memory card?

      Welcome to the Pavilion, SolidSnake!

As I don't have a PS3, I don't know about the Memory Card Adaptor. My instinct is that this won't work. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about this will answer soon.

If it doesn't work, what you'll need to do is buy a Max Drive (or Action Replay Max), which lets you transfer files between a PS2 and PC.

One last thing... I was under the impression that the 80GB model did play most (though not even close to all) PS2 games. I looked it up at the Sony PS3 site and it says that RPG Maker 3 functions fine (except for HDD functionality which is unimportant anyhow). Do you have a stripped model with no backwards compatability or something?

EDIT: Looks like Valk beat me to it, and it should work. Congrats! Enjoy Shadow of the Towers, it's a good game, especially as a first experience with RPG Maker 3.

How Badly Do You Want It? (VX Ace) is now available for download! - no outside software necessary.

Awesome! Thanks so much guys. I'm glad the adaptor will work because i'm sure it'll be cheaper than buying a max drive.
But where can you even get a max drive? Do you have to buy it from Ebay, cause I live in Saskatchewan and electronic stores up here don't carry to many special accessories for consoles.

            God tell me about it...

Even online it's still ridiculously difficult to find. I just bought one the other week and cost me over $30. And that was the 16MB one!

TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.
