This is a discussion about Nintendo’s next handheld. I’ll start by asking the question: What would you like to see implemented in Nintendo’s next portable game system?
Nintendo’s next handheld will probably be a successor to the DS and I’d be very surprised if they decided to make another Game Boy. So, for the DS2 I’d like to see:
Bigger, dual touch-screens with a 16:9 aspect ratio with higher resolution. Possibly 640×480 screen resolution (to see small text clearly).
Much better graphics and sound.
Touch-screens that are more advanced. Example: Touch-screens that are able to detect presser sensitivity and are able to detect multiple touches at the same time.
Downloadable apps from Nintendo’s online store.
Since the DS2 will be likely be a much more powerful system, and since it is almost guaranteed to keep its touch screen, I don’t see why they won’t be able to offer downloadable apps as Apple does with its iPhone. It could introduce some features that are found in PDAs , such as the ability to make schedules and keep track of information.
