Windows Live CD

Does anyone know where I can download a Windows Live CD? My mom's laptop is acting up, and some of her programs aren't running right. I'm pretty sure it might be that some of the Windows files are corrupted because I did an updated virus scan and it turned up clean.

Edit: She's using Microsoft XP.

Is your computer still under warrenty? You could probably get a replacement from the manufacturer.
