I honestly have tears in my eyes. It is quite a shock. I didn't even know he was battling with cancer. Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Airframe are a few of my favorite books, and I loved many more of his writings.
Damn, I really love some of his work, can't really say the same about Hollywood’s adaption’s of the same though. I remember reading Airframe, Jurassic Park, Congo, The Andromeda Strain, Sphere and The Lost World all in the same year. Haven't read any of his newer novels, but I have Eaters of the Dead in my soon to read stack of books though.
Yes. Crichton was a very good writer. Not from a technical standpoint, which is probably where you looking from, but from an entertainment standpoint. And Crichton was one of the best when it came to entertaining writing.
