Like the name somewhat implies, 2D Boy is actually just 2 guys who make videogames as a labor of love. There are all kinds of gushing review snippets and even a trailer video on the site. Check it out.

I just downloaded it with some hesitation, seeming as it was a whole $5 more than I thought it should have been priced as. But it's way better than most retail games even, so it's a steal. It's a WiiWare title, by the way.

I'll post more impressions as the awe from it all fades, but right now, I'm in love. The sheer amount of detail and love that was so obviously poured into the creation of this game is really impressive. If you're looking for a well made pick-up-and-play kind of game, you can do a lot worse than to give this game a try.

It's basically a super polished flash game. Fun in short spurts. Worth the price, I guess.

hrm, the weight of the goo's isn't proportional to real world physics and the goos don't behave in an intelligent fashion and how exactly do the time bugs manage to materialize and send you back in time one step and what's the deal with the goos anyways there should have been some backstory in this game and why is it that the goos only wake up when other goos are near them shouldn't i be able to manipulate them with my mouse and i certainly would have enjoyed more details about the world like why everyone is a stick figure 3/10 recommend you rent

World of Goo takes such a simple theme and does sooooo much with it.


Developers, take note. This is how you take a theme and escalate it. Not by adding more of the same ****ing thing over and over and over again but with a different backdrop.

I thought I would give it a try because it was so acclaimed. But really, I just don't like it. I'm not into engineering in the least and the levels just frustrate me. I've had to skip like three and that's just the first world. I can tell when a game's not for me, so I just stopped playing.

John Mora I feel really bad for you, because my biggest complaint with this game is that it's too easy.
