How many lefties do we have?

Miss Foley's surgery thread prompted this, but I'm curious with all the creative sorts we have here at the Pav, how many of us are lefties?

I myself am one, and in my department at work, there are at least another 4, including both the lead and the manager. So vote in the poll and discuss here if you wish.

EDIT: Technically, I guess I'm ambidextrous. I write, throw, play guitar (Hero), and "other things" leftie, but I use eating utensils with my right hand.

Hmm. That's weird. I do everything with my left hand except crochet and "other things".

Is handedness an inherited thing? I have two sisters, one who looks a lot like me and another who's short, tan and brunette. The redhead is a lefty too.

I would think it's somewhere in the genetic code. I don't think parents TEACH their kids to write rightie or leftie. They just start doing it on their own.

It's been said that people who are left-handed TEND to be more creative, and those who are right-handed TEND to be more logical.

Leftie. I'm only partially ambidexterous, I've never been able to use leftie scissors. Don't use a left-handed mouse either, I learned how to do that right-handed.

I would venture to guess that the percentage of lefties amongst the homosexual population is much higher than amongst the general populace.

I am ambidextrious. I write with my right hand, but I hold the pen/pencil in a left handed way, part of this is from arthritis, part of this is from learning how to write from a left handed person (both my dad and my older sister are south paws).

However, I play hockey/baseball/golf with my left hand.

I do alot of things right handed and alot of things left handed. I can't write with my right hand, but I can't play guitar left handed... so I chose ambidexterous.

See, I WAS taught to use one hand over the other, and pretty much ended up right-handed because I was using that hand to eat soup or something on one given day. So I do pretty much everything with my right hand.

Since I got Guitar Hero, I thought "Hey! My left hand CAN do stuff!" and I've been slowly trying to train myself to do everything ordinary (non-athletic) with my left hand as well. I look (read: I am) so clumsy sometimes!

A few lefties I know have noted that it's harder to write lefty, since we write left-to-right and the writing hand will cover and sometimes even smudge the last one or two words they wrote.

I'm left-handed as well. It's never really been an inconvenience, except like Wavelength said... writing gets smudges from time to time.

Since i was young, I would occasionally use my right hand, just to see if I could train myself to be ambidextrous. My handwriting is awful with my right hand, but it can be done, I just have to write slower.
