    The wii debate topic

im simpleman and i approve this message.

The wii is innovative in its hardware department but not in software.

Will the wii ever have a very innovated game rather than shaking and waggling the remote?
Will the next wii coming out in 2011 live up to next generation graphics?

do you think its wierd that half assed game (wiiplay) sells more then good ones (zach and wiki)?.

    RULES

    no flaming.

I think aiming with Wiimote is annoying simply because of the fact you have to point it. Which makes it akward to play. It makes it feel like you should almost be standing up when you play. And if your like me and like to lay down when you play games, it makes it even akward"er". Not to mention with the controller you can play a few hours straight without getting cramps in your wrist, unlike using the point aim features of the Wiimote. I don't think using the Wiimote to aim is faster at all. Infact I find it somewhat clumsy, and disoriented. Maybe that's because I suck at using it. But the dual analog stick system always worked for me. If it was to slow, you simply turned your speed up in the aiming area, or god forbid you buy a turbo controller.

The aiming was never slow, unless you turned your aim speed as low as it could go, besides your arguement lacks validity seeing there was fast moving zombies too.

Plus you were a zombie. Okay, you weren't, but you were infected.

I always thought that, in the case of shooters, a mouse was vastly superior to the analog control. But the wiimote is even better, its more accurate.

Mouse > Wiimote > Analog Stick

Mainly because no FPS on the Wii yet (aside maybe MP3 and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2) has really done much with the Wiimote and aiming.

I don't have any shooters on my pc besides the Doom Demo. I've always found analog sticks to be far superior. One to move your character and one to move your aim. It's a superior system.

                look. i hunt deer.

personally i feel more comfortable aiming freely so i can shoot where i want to freely rather than to move a joystick to aim.

I agree with this. I'll post my supporting argument later.

I hunt too. Hunting and Video Games are much different things...

HOW COULD YOU DISLIKE THE ANALOG STICK?

Maybe, I'm just odd. But I like to use analog sticks. It seems like traditional video gam'in

So I'm out of this one, because I doubt anyone is gonna back me up.

Obviously you haven't played enough shooters, because with a mouse all you have to do is put it where you want to shoot, with the analog sticks you push on the stick and hope you let go at just the right moment so that your reticule is on target.

With the wii its even better, unless you have no hand-eye coordination. :3

Wasn't there a FPS that had servers that PC gamers and 360 gamers could play on together?

Didn't the 360 players always get slaughtered until a handicap was put in place?

I was using it as a example.

i can aim more easily with a rifle (wiimote) than a mounted gun (analog)

                              Re: The wii debate topic

The Wii is a video game system designed for people who don't play video games. The grandmas and soccer moms whos experience with gaming is playing bejeweled on their cell phones.

Nintendo releases a mix of fan appreciated games and the boring casual crap I just don't care about. Every other company thinks the Wii is a dumping ground for garbage.

That's about sums up my entire opinion of the Wii. I actually own more VC/Wii Ware titles than commercial titles.
