http://www.nintendojo.com/infocus/view_item.php?1118069593
It's been confirmed that all first party games downloadable via the Revolution Virtual Console will be completely free of charge. Not only that, but 3rd party devs' games will be downloadable if they allow it, yet may require a fee to their discretion.
But 221 games available for download at launch?! That's about every single first party game Nintendo has ever made from NES to the N64! Wow.
That gets me thinking. What games in particular would you peoples like to download and relive or play that you missed?
Myself? More than anything, the Metroid games. I haven't really played any of them, yet I'd like to.
I'll list some other stuff later.
Your turn.

Wow, that's a pretty sweet deal.
Haven't decided on buying Nintendo's new console, but maybe i will end up having to.

I have most of the games I really enjoy, but I would like to cruise their library.
The only one I can think of that I am dying to play?
EARTHBOUND!
yes, i too have most every game i'd want to play already. but that dosn't mean i wouldn't download them to have on one machine, portable and playable wherever it would go.

I'd download every NES game ever just to try them out. :D
Plus all the games I miss from my childhood, of course. :)

I think it'd be like, damn near everything nintendo published.
since nintendo was the publisher for Super Mario RPG, does this mean they can put that up?
I believe that would be likely.
Oh, and here's a list:

Doesn't anyone feel that we are most likely going to buy a new "Next Gen" console, just to play old video games :)

Totally.
I saw "New Nintendo Console" and thought "Bleh, wtf for?!"

They aren't free of charge. They cost money.
Unfortunately so, as outlined by a recent interview with Satoru Iwata.

You're right, it's just a rumor, according to the site.
Still, I wouldn't mind paying a small fee to download the games.
Go charge your PSP. :p

Well, I hope that for every 5 games or so we download, we'd pay maybe $3.00 or something. Payng more than a dollar for a NES game would bite.:p

It may not cost money. In the interview, they said they will make it as cheap as possible. If they can, it will be completely free. If they can't, it will have a minor cost.
