Here are two frustrations I have about RPGM3:
1) Physical attacks don't hit enough
2) Combat is too slow
I have fixed these problems by giving my characters ridiculous amounts of agility and all my enemies 0 agility.
In a test run I gave my single character 999 agility and four enemies 0 agility. I also gave them a magical attack and set their AI to Always Magic. Here's what happened when I just had him use a Physical Attack every turn.
1) He got to attack 7-8 times before any of the enemies got their turn.
2) There was no down-time, sitting around waiting for the bar to fill, just watching the screen.
3) He never missed his attacks.
4) The enemies didn't miss him because they used Magic, which doesn't miss because of AGI.
All in all, it was a pretty sweet, fast-paced, fun combat sequence.
To test some other numbers, I gave him 700 AGI and he got in two attacks before their turns. When I gave him 300 AGI he only got one attack in.
Why is this cool?
If you want physical attacks to always hit but not make your characters way faster than the enemy, give them like 100 more AGI than the enemy.
If you want your physical attacks to always hit AND have your characters get in two attacks before the enemy, give them 700-ish.
If you want a game where a single character can fight 4 enemies at a time, give them 999 AGI and they will run wild.
Agility is no longer my enemy. It's the coolest stat in the game.
