I got an annonymous e-mail a minute ago. someone is accusing me of running an RPG Maker Monopoly. their reasons? I am an administrator at agetec's forums. I currently run the pavilion, the biggest and "most successful RM site" (YES, A compliment!), and adding to that, I also advertise updates on gamefaqs and IGN, which is "essentially shutting down the smaller sites because of your connections and your larger staff" my larger staff? so me, and... wait. I'm the only person that works on the actual pavilion site. so does this mean some sites have no people working on them?

Do you think the pavilion holds a monopoly over the RPG Maker sites? is this a bad thing?

Who cares? Like, two people on this forum use RPGM, and the other 300 either have never heard of it or hate it because it's on the Playstation 2 (DRE guys m i rite). People who are really serious about making their games usually start independant websites.

I rather have 1 large and successful RPGM site than a 1,000 ****ty ones hosted on like, geocities, with all the same content and then die out after everyone notices that the same content is on better sites.

based on traffic to the RPGM portions of the pavilion, only 72 out of 294 members dont really bother with RPG Maker stuff. and we have around 2000 unique visitors a month, most of which only care about the RPG Maker stuff.

That's true, but half of those guys don't even post. Or they just come here once or twice to look at the info for their friends' games. The people who mainly make up this community are the ones who rarely ever use RPGM, unfortunately. I wish we were more active in the RPGM forums, but just look at the amount of posts between each forum. The non-RPGM forums blow the others away.
