If your going to do this your best bet would be to rely on unique puzzles. You NEED to understand variables to do anything puzzle wise. My suggestion would be to look up variables using the pavs search. Then make a few small events to get used to how they work. Slowly make more and more complex things. Once you feel you have a solid grasp of them, then start working on your game.

I'm taking some screen shots that I promised to Lausen, so I'm kinda busy at the moment, but I will help you to understand variables one way or the other as soon as I'm done with them.
In the mean time I'll say this: What you just listed are event codes, so you're on the right track. The specific event codes you're looking for are the ones that say 'Increase Shared Variable', 'Copy Shared Variable', etc.
Then, you'll need the event code 'Value-Conditional Branch'. That checks the value of the variable, and does up to 4 different things, depending on what that variable equals.
Variables are nothing without event codes to change them (I listed 2 of them), and VC Branches to check them, and act accordingly.

You need to either be really good at writing or really good at scripting if you're going to try to make a game without battles. I wouldn't recommend it to you.

Wavelength wasn't being a dick, SM. He was just being totally honest. Your writing style may have improved, but there are still about 3 misspelled words on each line, and about 2-3 punctuation errors. For many people that just completely kills the game experience for them, and you can't blame them for that.
But make your game however you want, because the important thing is that you make something that you're proud of. You'll improve over time.

Look, I've been holding back. I'm still holding back as I write this. I've already written a lot of very valid things and then decided not to post them because quite honestly, it would hurt your feelings. Because you don't take criticism well.
And you know, you're not helping things by comparing me to a male reproductive organ. And if you keep getting defensive like that, do not expect my responses to be this measured in the future.
If you want to put your head in the clouds (or the sand, as the case may be) and think you can make a game that everyone wants to play, without "going through the trouble" of making battles, and if you think you can float a whole plot off of "a treant saves a kid by stabbing some evil necromancer," well then go ahead. Make the game. Actually release something. Prove me wrong. I would like nothing more.
I had some of the same pie-in-the-sky kind of ideas about making a game when I was 12, and to some extent I'm glad I had that passion, but I wish someone would have come along and showed me how to channel my creativity into something that was QUALITY. I've been trying to give that to you.
I'll admit that your writing is better than what you posted six months or so ago. I believe that it is not good enough, though, to anchor an excellent game without some form of battles.
