    Glitched Mem Card

Okay so I was working on RPGM 3. I copied the file to a different card and tried to delete it from the one. It said delete failed. I didn't even know a delete could fail! I hit back and I have more space then what I should. It went from like 41 to 1400. I pull it out, put it back in and nothing is on the card! Only 1000 space on it. WTF!!!

Before smashing it I tried to see if I could actually use the 1000 space on it. I put in Soul Calibur 3. It actually loaded from the card. My profile comes up. I played around with it and nothing glitched. Look back at the card and it still shows nothing. I just tried loading Smackdown vs Raw and the data didn't load and when I tried to save a new file it said it was corrupt. It's a basic 8mb sony card.

Is there any way I can fix this? I don't even care if I don't get the saves back. I just need the space. If I want to work on my game I need two cards.

Please help before I use this card as a baseball!!!

Soul Calibur 3 is the key thing in there.

if you delete any save that is NOT Soul Calibur 3 from the same memory card it's on, it will corrupt your card.

Why does it do that? I don't doubt it because my SC3 data corrupted a few times before. So there's no hope for the card? *Grabs baseball bat*

When my card got corrupted I reformatted it. Will that not work?

If you go into the PS2 browser and look at your card, there should be an option there. It's been a long time since I did it though, and my PS2 is disconnected at the moment so I can connect it to my computer, or else I'd check for you.

I'll have it connected later today though.

Yeah something like that. I have the money, but that's still $20 spent.

I'm still in the process of moving tons of crap to make room for the PS2. Did you have any luck yet? I'm almost positive that the 'reformat' option was in the PS2 browser, but maybe it was through the MAX software?

Again, I'll check here pretty soon.

I got your data loaded, Lausen, I just need to finish moving the PS2 over here.

I dont know how to do it in the PS2 system menu, but in the max drive software, you can do it by pressing square on the device select screen.

FOUND IT! You have to press on the 'choose primary device' screen.

[EDIT] DOHH!! Valk beat me to it.

There is a god! That max drive basicaly just paid for itself. It's a good thing I didn't destroy it yet. Thanks for the help guys. I still lost some good game files. Like my FF10 with nearly the entire grid filled, but I'll live.

now just make sure you never delete any save from a memory card with SC3 saved on it.

also, the SC3 corruption glitch isnt confined to physical memory cards. I had it happen to one of the virtual memory cards on my PS3.

That sucks. How did you fix that? I doubt I'll be playing SC3 any time soon. I do have 4 after all.
