    EBGames Trade-In for Cash

Does anyone know of or have a list that tells how much certain games are worth if you trade in for cash??

More specifically, does anyone know how much a PSP will get for a cash trade in?

You don't want your PSP? What's its condition (such as, dead pixels)?

I want my PSP, but I just got a speeding ticket cause some fat ****er decided to pull me over accelerating to get on a highway, and I'm broke.

So... I need money to pay for the fine and the traffic school so it's wiped from my record.

You might want to check a pawnstore before EB. EB only gives you half of what they would give you in store credit when you trade stuff in for cash. If you want to find out how much EB will give you all you have to do is call them on the phone.

I can't stand redneck cops. I get to thinking, if one tries to pull me over, I might just shoot the ****er's tires out and run like hell...

Too bad they got cameras mounted on their cruisers. Kind of hard to keep your license plate from their view.

That sucks. I hope you get a fiar amount of money for your PSP, but those game stores generally like to screw people over.

Yeah they will try to rip you off as much as possible.

My buddy gave them Grandia II, and he only got $5. Then they pop it back on the shelf and charge $50 for it.

Best bet is to sell it on Ebay, or to some friends.

Personally, if you think it was unfair, fight the ticket, explain your situation. I mean, were you going 80 to get on a freeway that goes 55, or what?

I didnt realize how fast i was going when i got my first and only ticket, but if you were going that speed for a reason, or if it is unsafe to get on that section of the freeway for some reason, i'd fight it, seriously.

I was going 64 to get on a freeway that has a 65 speed limit. The funny thing is the asshole cop was waiting underneath an over pass way after the "access road" where the limit is 45. The only thing is I have no way to prove that, so I'm screwed basically.

I would try to eBay it or sell stuff to friends, but I don't have time because my court date is in 15 days.

EB will generally give you about 1/4 of the value. In the states you would probably get like 90 bucks for a used PSP.

On eBay you would probably get about 10 dollars less than what you payed for it.

You could sell it on eBay long before the court date, and probably get more money. If you sold it today, using a five day auction, and only accepted paypal (which you can directly deposit into your bank account in 1-2 days) you'd be fine. Money orders would work too, just tell them they have 7 days to send you the payment in the auction description.

Also, can't you contest the ticket? I was under the impression that if you do that and the cop doesn't show up in court, you're off the hook.

Yeah, i'd be contesting the ticket, because if you didnt do anything wrong, and he was waiting at a point where it is an onlet to the freeway, then the 45 speed limit does not apply. Sounds like it was a frivolous ticket so he could meet his quota. fight it, if he cannot prove it either, and if you were going 64(and it shows that on your ticket), and you were on the onramp to a freeway(where the limit is 65), you have nothing to worry about...unless of course the judge is the redneck cops brother or something.

Edit: and how is your driving record? how many tickets have you had before? and were any of them for speeding?

If you show up to contest your ticket, they almost always reduce the fee by half. Occasionally, the cop won't show up, and then you don't have to pay.

1st ticket ever on my record, and I'm going to be sure to point that out in court. I'm going to try to move the court date back with "schedule conflicts" so hopefully it gets moved back enough that the cop forgets about it and doesn't show up so the fine is dropped, my insurance doesn't go up, and my record stays clean.

And I get to keep my PSP and all my good games for every system I've owned.

Edit: I think this is why I'm going to use a pawn shop, so hopefully I can get all my stuff back for not TOO much of a change in price.
