    Silent Hill: Homecoming

So, since this game is out now, what does everyone think of this game? No spoilers since many (including me), have yet to play it.

In reviews, GameName said it was the best in the series (uh huh...) while GamePro liked the atmosphere but apparently was disappointed in... gameplay and storyline. Of course I got this info from Wikipedia, and I give little stock to most reviews anyway, so take that at face value.

Anyway, anyone gotten it yet? I hate being broke.

Side note: I saw the Achievements list for the 360 version. Kind of suck, if you care about them. Beat it on hard mode, get all children's drawings, defeat each type of monster once (Achievement for each one), and... that's about it.

EDIT: Someone at GameFAQs has all ready beaten it and list some (non-spoiler) things about the game.

    1) The very first thing you heard about Silent Hill 5 from Team Silent is true.
    2) P.Head doesn't really bother you.
    3) No ranking/score after you finished the game.
    4) Different costumes to unlock.
    5) Very brutal death scenes.
    6) Ammo is really limited and scarce. No more carrying 999 amount of ammo for that weapon.

I'll reserve judgement until I play the game, though.

And a fun fact: A siren sounded outside when I wrote this.

From what I've read the reviewers liked the story and monsters/characters and the new combat system, but they had a lot of technical issues with the game.

It'll still be better than Silent hill 4: 1001 cartoon SFX.

Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

I had no problem with Silent Hill 4. Okay, I could have done without the babysitting, but that didn't stop me from playing it several times.

A review I read likened this game to a really good cover band.

Why is Pyramid Head even in this? Shouldn't he only be around in James's psychie?

I dunno. We never really got an explanation for that.

But we got plenty of strong assumptions.

seeing the screens shots and whatnot. I call that the town has a collective conscience so whatever somebody brings into the town stays with the town for the town to use at their disposal. But that's just me.

What if Pyramid Head's only there on Tuesdays? :3

                      Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhh...

Nothing like that is really hinted at in the series.

pyramid head is in the game because he was in the movie. and he was in the movie because he was the most iconic figure in the silent hill series, so it didn't matter a goddamn bit that he was very story and character specific, so why not throw him in. cause who cares. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. IT'S PYRAMID HEAD!

also he probably has a lame story-based excuse too

I'll play it when I win an xbox 360 and a copy of the game. Until then, I'll draw irate cartoons and eat macaroni and cheese for lunch.

What Gloom says is true. Pyramid Heads were old Civil War executioners remember, buttheads?

Anyway, yeah. I'm waiting this out like the rest y'all.

Guess the series is dead now!
