my two complaints are that its very difficult to reorder databases and also to keep track of variables. If there was a variable tracker I would be so happy.
TBS is coming shortly... I finally got off my lazy self and contacted Datel, so new Max Drive software is coming thus allowing me to release my TBS.
I think they look fine and being able to customize the colors helps a bit. The enemies look great. My biggest problem is the motion blur.
I find this ironic. Since my only problem is the characters, and the motion blur is nowhere near bad enough for me to notice it very much. Just saying. :P
I think it all depends on how you hook it up too. I've noticed that the blur is worse/more noticable, using component cables on an lcd screen rather than using standard cables on a tube tv. It helps to keep your eyes on the lead character in the middle of the screen too, as the blur only effects the objects and characters around you as you move.
I've never thought of a South Park adventure... that would actually be kind of cool.
But yeah, that is the number one complaint for many people, is the chibi characters.
...But I like chibi...
I just actually purchased the game and am waiting for it to come. (Hopefully I'll get it by the weekend.)
Seriously though...if you couldn't tell by my avi and my siggy, I love chibi.
The motion blur i really bad, which is one of the reasons I never relly got into it.
If I don't fix my eyes on the center of the screen when I move around, it will give me a headache after a little while. It feels like my eyes are shaking while trying to focus.
It sucks, but still not bad enough to make me dislike it.
I guess the characters are kinda cheap looking in comparison to how everything else looks in the game, but I don't think they're that bad... Isn't there some kind of trick in the workshop that allows you to change the dimensions/proportions of the characters? I've never tried it myself, but I'm pretty sure there is a way to change them so they don't look so "chibi" (whatever that is ).

"Chibi" is a japanese term meaning small. It is often mistaken to mean "small and cute" or just "cute". However it is a drawing style in which the charcter is shrunk to a small size....

This is a chibi Link:
Doesn't the chibi style also generally include an abnormal body-size-versus-head-size ratio (as well as large eyes)? I've heard approximately 3 to 1 is the norm in chibis, as opposed to ~5 to 1 for normal anime females (exception for kids) and ~6 to 1 for anime males (again, exception for kids).
And OH MY GOD that picture of Link is so ridiculously adorable.

Yes, actually I believe that does apply, though maybe not that particular ratio...I'm not sure. I found it somewhere once though. It's also called SD (Super Deformed) drawing style.
Chibi is just much cuter to say. SD sounds like some sort of disease to me, hope that doesn't offend anyone.
And just type "chibi" into google search to be overwhelmed by cuteness. (Remember, it means small, they just become cute when shrunk like that.)
