Re: Here r All the questions I have for now

alright, but this time, keep all questions in this topic, it's kind of a hassle for people to help if they exit/enter topics to help a particular person out.

      Anyway *in # order*
      1) if by limit, you mean from RPG, to Action, to Puzzle, etc, then not really. I made a farming simulation on RPGM2, and there are some Puzzle ones, like psuedothello *I forget how it's spelled*
      2)yes
      3)yes
4)it all depends on how familiar you are with this, how organized you are, whether you planned everything out on the dot. all in all, it could take around a year, some go more than, as I know a couple people here who have worked for more than and they haven't finished yet. It just takes time, and dedication.
      5)yes
      6)yes
7)kind of, you have a certain enemy graphic model amount. I think its around 120. You can edit their color, size, etc.
      8)you can create buildings, yes.
9)I think you meant share, but anyway, remember how i said those file transferring devices *Xport, sharkport, etc*, they work in reverse as well. I suggest getting the Max Drive/Max Evo, and follow the instructions.
10)depends on the user. at times, I think everyone gets fustrated with it, but you just need to put some thought, be able to handle a few bumps in the road, and like I said before, have determination.

I hope I answered these clearly, if not, say so and I, or others, will provide help. Good luck in the future if you decide to pick up the game, and I hope you stick with it, as I enjoy playing other people's games and I'd like to see the RPG community grow.
BTW, dose is spelled as does, *no offense*

      Edit

The following only applies for RPGM2 by the way

and anyway, I answered your children/baby question. maybe you should stop making topics like crazy and actually make one to have your questions asked/answered.

If you want a baby graphic, go to 2, if you want easy game making, go to 1, or wait for 3. Not many questions can be answered for 3 though.

                    its ok, i guess....
anyway, what I suggest right now, is buy both rpgm1 and 2. this way, you can compare the two on what you would rather make a game with. *and 3 when it comes out*
This costs a bit, but I don't think we can actually tell you how long it is going to take for you to become good at this game. also, everyone's different, so some of the questions were from my perspective.
Well, either way, you need to consider getting one of the two and then ask questions relating to your game, that way our help will become of better help I guess.
                    Good luck in the future

Re: Here r All the questions I have for now

1.Is there a limit to the game you make
Note: RPGM3 is not out yet. Take my comments on 3 woth a grain of salt.

RPGM1- You are very limited in memory, basically stuck with the default battle system, although a custom battle system can be made it will eat all your memory very fast. The graphics are crap, but you can create your own, although only a maximum of 9 characters can be imported, each character can also be made into 9 seperate objects or tiles if you get fancy with the scenario editor. Although it is geared to a medieval setting with no modern graphics, you can use the anime maker to make custom graphics and set them as events, so you can fake custom objects as characters. This is useful if you want to draw, say, a car or a TV, or if you just want a custom character or monster. The memory is very limited, but there are tricks you can use to have an unlimited number of system cards and scenario cards to make as long of a game as you want.

RPGM2- A little less limiting in memory than RPGM1 but you cannot trick the system into letting you use unlimited memory cards while retaining player save data, and you can create a default battle system, use the picture paradise tool and visual effects editor to make custom characters and objects(Which will eat your memory even faster than using RPGM1), and you have a LOT more graphics to choose from. More characters, more monsters, more effects. The downside is that you cannot create and import your own character graphics and monsters. You have to get creative with the VFX editor and picture paradise instead. The graphics look worse than RPGM1 in my opinion, but at least they're 3D and you can customize sizes to make proportions somewhat realistic.

RPGM3- More limiting than either RPGM1 or RPGM2 as far as graphics are concerned(Although the graphics look VERY good). No custom monsters or characters or objects can be made or faked, your buildings are pre-made for the most part, and you're basically stuck making RPGs with a medieval fantasy setting, no matter how creative you are by the looks of things. Don't know about memory and possible game length.

2.In the story I wrote a ghost shows what happened in the past so can I Make a Cut secne for that
                        RPGM1- Yes

                        RPGM2- Yes

                        RPGM3- Yes

3.can you go into a building or make the inside
                        RPGM1- Yes

                        RPGM2- Yes

                        RPGM3- Yes

4.How long dose it take to make a very good game.
RPGM1- 50+ hours for each hour of gameplay

RPGM2- 150+ hours for each hour of gameplay

                        RPGM3- Less time than RPGM1

                        5.Can you create weapons
                        RPGM1- Yes

                        RPGM2- Yes

RPGM3- You have to choose from pre-made weapons, but can name them whatever you want to. However, each different character graphic is limited to a certain type of weapon.

6.Can you make a cut secene when someone is carrying a person.
RPGM1- Yes. Will require a custom graphic of that event, which will be hard to draw accurately.

                        RPGM2- Yes.

                        RPGM3- No.

7.Can you create the bad guys to fight.
RPGM1- Yes. You can draw your own custom monsters and use them in battle. However, you're only allowed to import 15 custom monster graphics at a time, but other than those, you have about 100 pre-made monsters to choose from and edit their stats and abilities.

RPGM2- Yes, but you will either need to use a custom battle system and be very creative with the Visual effects editor OR be savvy with Picture Paradise if you use the default battle system. If you choose not to make custom monsters, you have a larger list of premade monsters than RPGM1 whos stats and abilities you can edit.

RPGM3- No. You simply select from a list of pre-made monsters and edit their stats and abilities.

8.do you create buildings or just use the ones they have.
RPGM1- Yes, you can create buildings, but you are very limited in your selection of tiles. If you are creative, you can use the anime maker to make your own custom graphics, import them as character graphics, and set the character graphics as events, if you want to make streetlights, neon signs, TVs, graffitti, and other stuff, but you're still limited to the small tile selection RPGM1 gives you.

RPGM2- Yes. You can even create your own textures and control every aspect of the process of creating buildings. For custom objects, however, you have to be very crafty with the visual effects editor. Custom objects for buildings is a lot more difficult than in RPGM1, and since VFX take memory, you won't be able to use as many custom made objects as in RPGM1.

RPGM3- Your buildings are premade, inside and out. However, you can create your own dungeons, although their variety and graphics will be very limited.

9.How can I spered my game to firends.
RPGM1- Yes. You'll need a dex drive as will your recipients if you want to share online. You can also share with friends you live near by copying your memory card data.

RPGM2- Yes. You'll need a shark port or Max Drive as will your recipients if you want to share online. You can also share with friends you live near by copying your memory card data.

RPGM3- Yes. You'll need a Max Drive as will your recipients if you want to share online. You can also share with friends you live near by copying your memory card data.

10.Dose this game ever get very fuschrating
Depends on your patience, skills, abilities, and own unique tastes.

Most people would find 15 minutes to make a post way too long.

BTW, about trading data, not only will your friends also need the file transfer device, but they'll also have to own a copy of the RPGM your games are made on.
