So I'm Kinda Leaving (Cleveland HOOOO)

I’ve told a few of you, but I’m about to head out on my own, explore the country. In short, nothing’s keeping me here, no responsibilities, and I just quit my job because their status quo is far below my own and my attempts to get it corrected went unanswered. So I’m hitching across the great Midwest. Some of you know I’ve been enamored of the nomad’s life for a while. I’m gonna go get it out of my system, and maybe I’ll stop thinking about it so damn much.

Dunno where I’m ultimately gonna end up, or how long the journey will last, but I’m planning on seeing a desert, some real mountains, and eventually to Cali to see the ocean. After that, who knows? I intend to end up in Ohio after a spell on the road, and see where I want to go from there.

I’ll try to check in from time to time to let everyone know I’m okay, but don’t expect massive updates every day. I’m trying something on my own for a change, and part of that is to be off the grid, off the edges of the map. I hope it goes well.

Wish me luck; for now, though, I’m out. I’ll see you all later.

Yeaahhh. I'm not cut out for the vagrant life. At least not right now. I dropped my truck off at a friend's house in Norman, walked five miles south of Norman, and my first ride offer was a really creepy guy in his dusty old pickup truck, headed roundabouts the southern state line, and I sorta panicked, turned him down, and walked back to my truck. I'm also fairly sure my feet would have fallen off if I'd gone even one more mile.

So false start. I'm still gonna go, but it'll be a day or two down the road, after I make sure my truck can handle the long trip.

So... yeah. That's about it. I'll be around a day or two longer.
