There's this sweet game called Political Machine. It's gotten a 2008 new shiny edition, and my email tells me there's a free version.
Downloading right now, I won't get the chance to play it tonight but seeing as the original is a blast and the demo seems to have a surprisingly large amount of freedom I can safely recommend this.
