    is it ok or not?

well in my almost complete "soul searcher force" game an old master has tricked you into helping him out after winning a tourney. He tells you that you must teleport to boobieisland(current name) and your instanly transported. Your told they need help and as your teleported he stays behind on purpose. Once transported you appear to be on an island with two hills, one side has a dungeon at the top and the other a place full of only women and two gorillas.
Side from names would it be ok?

P.S: me and my sis thought of it as a joke and comic relief place after having to be in that serious and long tourney.

You didn't really provide much information about your game. What kind of a game is it? Serious, comedy, a mixture of both? Or is it something other?

its a mixture of the two. Mostly ends up serious. It's more universly funny then inside joke funny. In other words I have more jokes and parodies that many would get then jokes made for or between family and or friends

Well, I don't really know the context of the whole thing. The best advice I can give you is not to include anything that would be out of character in your game. For example, say your game takes place in a war-torn enviorment, you wouldn't want to include an enviorment that would contradict that setting. Such as a map consisting of cakes and pumpkins.

I know, I though alot about the locations. it really comes down to the mood of the area. By the way the game isn't mostly ceneterd around that are and story with the old man.

If your enviorment is just out of the blue and there isn't any reasion to expect someting like this, then I wouldn't recommend it. Like, if it doesn't fit the theme of the game. You know what I mean?

ya I totally understand. I've been adding and editing this game for a year.
its my first one but once its done it will seem like a great game. Unbelievally long and detailed with a binch of sidequests.

oops got off-topic, I just felt like explaining my game a little more.

If you say your game is going to be great, I wouldn't recommend putting in that enviorment. In my opinion, it seems like a cheap-shot at humor and not very funny. But if you absolutly have to put something like that in your game, I'd try to do it in a more creative manner.

I did put in a creative manner, its just hard to explain thats all.
Also wow your saying my whole game isn't funny after me saying a small bit of the starting of a chapter. I didn't and won't reveal anything I hope to be funnym it would ruin the game. I honestly think you just hate me now, and don't really care.

Whoa, where did this come from? I didn't say your game wasn't funny, I just said I didn't think that part was funny. And if I didn't care about your game I wouldn't have posted in your thread trying to offer you advice. I'm sure you have put a lot of hard work into your game, and I didn't mean to offend you either.

Re: is it ok or not?

Look, this isn't anything personal, it's just based on the information you've posted so far about your game.

Navane was only saying that the moods of your game seemed to be too dissonant; the jump between serious and lighthearted might have been too stunningly quick. And he's got a point. Either way, even if you don't want to take the good advice, you've got to show him more respect.

So far, you've given me nothing to get the least bit interested about your game. How fricking long is that tourney that it took up your entire plot description except for an immature (if kinda funny) "comic relief" area afterwards? Or, how fricking short is your story?

Besides that, you haven't told us a thing about your characters, you haven't told us a thing about your world (besides that there was a tournament in it and that there's an island that looks like a pair of melons), and your grammar in this thread has been poor enough to confuse me a couple of times.

If your game is almost complete, you might want to release a demo, or write a much more full description. I suggest looking at the last several pages of this subforum and the RPG Maker General subforum and taking a look at which descriptions got positive feedback. Model your descriiption on those.

Again, I'm not picking on you, and I'm not even picking on your game, because it's possible that the things you've posted here don't live up to you as a person or your game. But since this is all we've got to go on, there is nothing here that would get me to play, and I believe there is nothing here that would get anyone to play.

Re: is it ok or not?

I was moreso trying to explain to you what you need to do if you want to generate more interest in your game. But it's all good, it seems like you at least understand that.

Oh, and as far as I know, Navane is neither a "she" nor a "her." Though a lot of people have made that same mistake about me on certain sites, so I can appreciate the hilarity there.

Oh if only you had your old name :facepalm

I dont have any comment on the game, except the fact that any game is better then no game.

[edit] it doesnt sound like a bad idea, just needs some refinement.
