    Muramasa: The Demon Blade

    http://gonintendo.com/?p=56416

This is the best-looking 2-D game I've have ever seen with my own two eyeballs, and it's on the Wii and coming to North America! This is going to be an awesome game.

    Looks beautiful.

I just hope it doesn't have the same problems that Odin Sphere did.

I've always wanted to play that game, but they never had it at my local video store

Odin Sphere was fun at first... then I fought the same bosses... over and over and over. Then my head exploded. The end.

As for this game, it looks nice. I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I don't have high hopes. Not anymore.

I used to care about this game back when there was only like 3 of the same screens but I knew it would never come to America. Guess I was wrong.

I wanted to enjoy Odin Sphere and I liked it for what it tried to do (a pretty decent plot without all the pretentious dickery common in Japanese save-the-magical-world stories plus great graphics) but then the game let me down with boring gameplay that got old fast.

If Muramasa doesn't recycle the same three backgrounds over and over I might appreciate it. Now if only we could get the PSP version of PRINCESS CROWN dammit!

EDIT: Oh hey the female character is actually wearing clothes this game has my money already.

It's very purdy. But that's literally all I know about it.

Good news, old Marcus! The game actually has different areas instead of recycling backgrounds for 9 levels!

Unfortunately the other females take it upon themselves to flash their DD's despite fighting demons and bouncing around with no support. JAPAN YOU SURE KNOW HOW TO PORTRAY WOMAN LOL

I'd rather take a sledgehammer to the face than play through another game that plays like Odin Sphere. Beautiful graphics on this one, though.

I'm pretty excited for this. Hopefully Vanillaware LEARNED SOMETHING since Odin Sphere.

Preordered this quite some time ago. Found this preview today. As for the comment above about wearing clothes, apparently moneys lead you to hot springs and lead female wears a towel.

Best news though: Gamecube controller and classic controller compatible, with zero wagglin'. Finally...a dev NOT tacking on wagglin' where it's not needed. Again, as I mentioned in another thread, THIS is the reason I preorder and buy these types of games (this, Scribblenauts, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, etc)...not only do I want to experience them (inasmuch as I'll actually end up playing them), but I also want to send a message to the devs/publishers that these are the kinds of games I wanna see more of. I just hope enough others are doing the same, or these types of games are gonna suffer the same fate as Beyond Good and Evil and Psychonauts.
