The vertical bars, or slats, that run along the sides and sometimes the head and foot of a crib should be separated by no more than 2-3/8 inches.

Charlie doesn't snuggle. At all. He's way too independant right now and if he's awkae he wants to be crawling/terrorizing around the house. The poor cat is going to be hairless by the time he's done with her.
