    House

Yes, the show is formulaic. It's so disease-of-the-week it might as well be Gray's Anatomy but the characters are so strong and the acting is so good that it's elevated to a level not seen on television.

at the end of tonight's premiere... well damn. House's expression doesn't change AT ALL but somehow Hugh Laurie still tells you exactly what he's feeling. Now that's acting!

    He deserves all the Emmys.

Meg Griffin: What am I wearing? Um... a hat, and... glasses? [pause] What kind of underwear? Um... I don't know... big underwear, i guess. I'm sorry, what? Oh. What would I do to you? Well, um... I guess, maybe we could get pizza, and... we could watch House?

House is a badass. A great character. Haven't seen an episode in months. What a dreamboat.

                I like the show.

I hate it when people get all uppity about it saying "That's not real!"

                Well DUH, it's Television.

The guy is getting like $400,000 an episode. So I must not be the only one watching this brit.

House and Heroes are the only reason I ever turn on a TV. The ending was surprising, to say the least.

                    Re: House

I'm currently slowly working my way through season 1 on DVD. I could do without the sad piano music and disease-a-week stock plots but, yeah, the characters and writing are solid and House is great.

                    AND FUNNY.

                        Guy 2:it's about a doctor

                        Guy: that's it?

Guy 2: and he's angry all the time

                        Guy: like becker!?

I've only seen one episode, but if that was any indicator of the quality of it, yeah, it's badass.

I like this show. Well, I like the characters. 90% of what happens around them I could do without, especially since the same stuff happens every episode. The fact the show is still good despite this is astounding.
