I just lost my D&D virginity.

It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

Are there normally so many bold man-junk jokes? I'm not complaining or anything, they were incredibly hilarious.

But! It was definitely disarming in the beginning, considering I expected something much more serious.

Why yes, that is a tutu. Thanks for asking!

Should have put it up for sale on ebay for a quarter million.

I played it once for a short while. I got gold and experience for peeing in peoples drinking cups. And I'd do it again.

I've dabbled. Preferred Shadowrun, though. So how did Hito coerce you into playing?

Actually, he wasn't there. He had some other boy to hang out with.

I wasn't intending on going, we (Fruple, SheepThursday and myself) just needed to kill some time before half-priced appetizers at Applebee's.

Edit: Actually, I asked one of the other ones to teach me for the sole purpose of impressing Hito. :3

A little. (Golly, you men and your lack of a "blush" emoticon.)

Someone also is looking for some friends she doesn't have to dumb down her vocabulary around.

Hope you rolled an immunity check.

Also D&D is really fun as long as you play with cool people. Its not fun when people take it too seriously.

Well that part at least is completely understandable.

I've really wanted to play D&D, but none of my friends play it and I really doubt any of them would like it too much. So I've never got the chance... but I was really wondering what it's like from a newbie standpoint. Could you share a little more about your experience?

Re: I just lost my D&D virginity.

I've played two different campaigns, one using regular D&D world and rules that we tried to take seriously, but we had a halfling in the group and he was homicidal. It was hard to be serious.

Then we had a D20 Modern game going, in which Irish Daigle was a paranormal detective, also a car thief. We got tazed a lot and drugged, and made to listen to Dragon Force all day long, every day. It was a quirky good time. I wish the group would get together and play again, but the DM is on call 3 out of 4 weekends and all he wants to do on the 4th is drink. Heavily.

D&D is a fun time, but yeah, unless you and everyone else wants to take it seriously, don't expect a good time while being serious. I know a couple of hardcore RP'ers and they're adamant about breaking character and never doing a thing that's not outside the realm of their character's possiblity while the game is on. It's annoying.

And yeah, penis jokes are pretty much standard, ESPECIALLY if you played with two other girls.

Um, well - they didn't really explain things fully to me, just sort of gave me the easy character, told me when to roll and such. Fruple couldn't decide on a gender, so she kept rolling for it, and also for her sexuality.

I can give you a bit of a taste from our game:

"E's genitals start glowing with the magnificence of T1, and a sparkling awe-inspiring glowing load frees itself from his glowing man-meat. The lighthouse collapses, taking the pirate on top with it. The load then continues- landing on two unfortunate pirates, who then drown under the glowing magnificence, smiling the entire time."

I've been a DM for 10+ years with some good friends, but we mainly just use our own system which I call "The Quest" Yes there are some pen and paper statistics, but we like to keep it simple. In fact we can even do it over Aim sometimes, because we mainly focus on the story and providing fantasy.

But Im really happy for you. You're the only girl I know (in lack of a better term) who can appreciate something like this. If you keep being awesome like this I'm going to wind up falling in love with you lol, which I guess is okay because I keep telling myself what Spock said in Star Trek "Sometimes wanting is better then having. It is illogical but I have noticed it is often true."

Anyway as a DM I mainly provide a fun story and campaign for the players to interact with, but man I could write volumes about the stories we've gone through. I should really archive them sometime, I'd have like 30 novels lol.
