if you didn't show me the title, I would just say that that is ninja gaiden.

      Gameplay, or it didn't happen.

I think I'm done for now with ninja games after playing Ninjagaymanz II for the 360.

Has anyone tried the demo for this yet? Man, it's stupid. Nothing but button mashing and QTEs. Lots and LOTS of QTEs. I hate them so much. Why does every game use them now? Who was the genius who thought button prompted cutscenes were a great gameplay element?

What about those old Don Bluth laserdisc games?

            Yu Suzuki.

They've been used in plenty of games since Dragon's Lair in '84 but Die Hard Arcade was the first to combine them in games that weren't interactive movies and Yu Suzuki coined the term QTE.

Perhaps the death of Shenmue is a fitting punishment for unleashing a cancer among modern devs.

Funny, I never had a problem with QTE events. It's not like failing them ever set you back more than 30 seconds.

I just find them dumb. Especially a game that throws them at you every other minute. It's just a lazy way to create cool moments without actually making a control scheme dynamic enough to incorporate them.

I'll call this game God of ninja.

Throws me out of the atmosphere of the game. Some games use them for no reason other than to add to the laundry list of features.

Uncharted? Had like three QTE scenes and they were completely unnecessary. Something like God of War I can stand because it's part of the combat but UGH the knife fight in Resident Evil 4 was really cool but terrible because you had to devote your attention to mashing a button in .5 seconds.

I played the demo. It was pretty bad. It tries to be ninja gaiden, but throws in QTE for no real reason. Graphics look nice at least.
